History of Earth Circle Organics
Earth Circle Organics was founded in 2006 in Northern California. Our humble beginnings started with a bucket of organic olives, a few jars of raw nut butters, and a circle of friends. Overtime we began gathering and sharing more raw and organic superfoods, branching out to include cacao, goji berries, maca powder, and coconut palm sweeteners. Earth Circle Organics developed lasting relationships with growers around the world and excited consumers in our surrounding community. Starting with our local co-op, we began distributing our exceptional products to start-ups, processors, restaurants, and retail outlets. Earth Circle Organics has continued to grow and develop, always with a constant focus on excellent customer service and exceptional product quality. We are proud to be a leader in the organic and raw food movement as we continue to source and supply superfood products from around the world.
Sustainability & Stewardship
At Earth Circle Organics we are continually striving to reduce our carbon footprint and act as a steward for the earth wherever possible. We currently utilize an eco-friendly Green website hosting service, GreenGeeks, which is powered with 100% wind-energy and has a negative carbon footprint, and developed our website with a certified Bay Area Green Business, Earthsite. Let’s Share: ECO Helps Improve the Lives of Family Farmers in Paraguay
At Earth Circle Organics, we believe in giving back. We are proud supporters of the “Let’s Share” project. The purpose of the “Let’s Share” project is to improve the health and well being of farmers and their families by building new bathroom facilities. The bathrooms improve sanitation and provide hot showers. For every 300 tons of chia seed sold, a bathroom will be built for a family. To date, ECO has contributed 188,755 pounds towards this goal.

Eric Botner – Founder & CEO
Eric Botner founded Earth Circle Organics in 2006, with a few superfoods and a circle of friends. After 20 years in a successful livelihood in the fast-paced wholesale distribution of fruits and vegetables, Eric shifted his focus to raw food and natural living. He began by creating a retreat and vacation property in Northern California, teaching others of the powerful impact of raw and organic foods and vibrant living. Eric gave life to ECO with his passion for organic superfoods and a desire to share with everyone.
Herb Heller – President & COO
Herb Heller joined ECO in 2013, previously serving as a Director of Finance and COO for a multi-million dollar manufacturer of prepared foods serving national brands. He has experience as a program manager with a non-profit business incubation center, and has maintained leadership roles in sales and operations across industries including advertising and marketing, manufacturing, food service and hospitality.
Claire Modjeski – Vice President – Sales & Marketing
Claire Modjeski joined Earth Circle Organics in 2014, previously serving as the Global Sales and Marketing leader for a top heritage brand gummy vitamin company. Claire is a natural foods industry veteran for over 20 years with national and international leadership roles in purchasing, sales, and marketing.

Instructions
- With a knife or kitchen shears carefully remove the kale leaves from the stems and tear into bite sized pieces. Wash and thoroughly dry with salad spinner or towel. Place on baking pan, drizzle kale lightly with olive oil and sprinkle with sea salt.
- Place kale pieces into food dehydrator for approximately 2 hours, or oven at 350 °F for 10-20 minutes.
- Check chips often to create your desired level of crispification! You can also easily adjust the seasoning to incorporate your favorite flavors. These taste great served warm with a veggie dip, or preserved in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
